So, just who is this Destination Diva, you ask?

A veteran broadcast reporter, Sally Walker Davies left broadcast journalism after ten years
on the air to be at home with her children. During that time, she continued to work as a
freelance journalist as well as a media advisor to corporate and political clients. It was
after a long campaign that she took a few days to herself in the charming town of
Holland, Michigan -- and her experience there inspired her to return to journalism, with a
focus on travel.

She is the author of
An Explorer's Guide: Tennessee, from Countryman Press, released in
June, 2011, and collaborated with Stephanie Jones on
King Me: The Rock 'n' Roll Royalty
Tour
-- an Elvis-themed travel app from Sutro Media. She is currently at work on two more
apps from Sutro: Essential Memphis and BBQ Wars, both due out in 2011.

Sally is a former travel columnist for The Commercial Appeal; her  bi-monthly
Get Outta
Town
column featured great destinations, deals, and gear for travelers.

Sally is a regular contributor to AOL Travel, BudgetTravel.com, Her work has also appeared
in the
Tennessean, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Detroit Free Press, Cincinnati Enquirer,
Chicago Sun-Times,
BritishAirways.com, and Whatsonwhen.com.  She is the author of the
Intelliguide destination reports on Louisville, Tennessee and Nashville, featured on major
Web sites.

Sally is the recipient of the 2008 Mississippi Tourism Association Travel Writer award, and is a
member of the Society of American Travel Writers. She is currently at work on her first book,
Sally is a graduate of Michigan State University and currently resides with her children in
Memphis, Tennessee.
